About the Event
In this supportive workshop, revel in the pleasures and sometimes playfulness of poetry. We will experiment with poetic forms that borrow words and lines from other writers to create poems uniquely our own. We will look at poems by Mary Ruefle, Robert Frost, Janet Holmes, Emily Dickinson, David Shapiro, and Wallace Stevens, among others, for inspiration.
Week One: Erasure Poems
Week Two: Response Poems
Week Three: Poetry Generators; Haiku, Villanelle, Limerick
Week Four: Poetry Café – A celebration and reading of our work
